ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø History graduates build successful careers across a wide range of fields. A study of over 800 alumni from 1996 to 2025 shows where they go after earning their BA or MA.

Demonstrating the versatility of the History degree, nearly half of our graduates pursue careers in business. Education—K–12 and higher ed—is the next most common path. Others thrive in science and tech, public service, community engagement, and fields like libraries, public history, and information management.

Our majors excel in roles involving HR, data and project management, and marketing. That’s because they’re trained to analyze complex evidence, manage multi-semester capstones, and deliver meaningful results. Ours is a uniquely rigorous and practical program.

Nearly half of our BA grads go on to earn advanced degrees—MBAs, Ed.D.s, J.D.s, and a variety of master’s programs. Check out the LinkedIn profiles below to see the diverse paths of 60+ alumni.
